The Electrical Engineering Applications Support & Developer provides specialized support to maintain, enhance, and ensure the reliable operation of electrical design and analysis tools in an aerospace development environment. This role works closely with engineering teams to deliver stable performance, implement improvements, and support integrations and workflow optimization. The position centers on technical support, application development, and daily operational enablement.

** This is a Hybrid position in Puerto Rico; candidate must reside in Puerto Rico**

What YOU will do: Application Support & Maintenance:

• Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for electrical design and analysis applications.

• Troubleshoot performance, configuration, workflow, and usage issues impacting engineering teams.

• Coordinate with users, internal teams, and vendors to resolve complex issues.

• Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and configuration records.

Development & Enhancements.

• Develop scripts, automation, integrations, and customizations to extend and improve engineering tools.

• Translate engineering requirements into functional technical solutions.

• Support testing, validation, and deployment of system updates, patches, and new capabilities.

• Improve engineering workflows through process optimization and tool enhancement.

Collaboration & Partnership.

• Work closely with electrical engineering teams to understand tools, design processes, and support needs.

• Collaborate with other technical staff responsible for architecture, infrastructure, and integrations.

• Engage with vendors for issue escalation, roadmap discussions, and capability assessments.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure stable and compliant application environments aligned with aerospace development standards.

• Support configuration, environment setup, and adherence to change and release management processes.

• Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering tools and processes.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• 7 years of experience in application support, development, or engineering tool administration.

• Strong troubleshooting skills within technical or engineering environments.

• Hands-on experience with Siemens EDM/Xpedition tool suite.

• Proficiency with scripting or automation languages (Python, PowerShell, VBScript, etc.).

• Understanding of electrical/PCB design concepts sufficient to support engineering users.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and engineering stakeholders.

• Experience with software deployment, testing, configuration control, and issue remediation.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Siemens HyperLynx and Valor tools.

• Familiarity with Cadence design tools for legacy support.

• Knowledge of PLM systems used in engineering environments.

• Experience with integrations between EDA tools and PLM or other enterprise systems.

• Background supporting engineering CAD/EDA applications in aerospace or other regulated industries.

• Exposure to engineering data workflows or system integration concepts.
