What You'll Do The Radiation Oncology Nurse functions in a collaborative role with the Radiation Oncology team and other healthcare providers in providing continuity and outcome-directed quality patient care. Interdependently assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care provided throughout the treatment course and follow-up period. Job involves direct patient care and encompasses patient/family teaching, symptom management, counseling, and supportive role to assist patient and family in coping with and adjusting to diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Requirements:
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or current Registered Nurse License from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
• Current Oncology Nurse certification.
• AHA ACLS within 120 days.
Preferred Requirements:
• Current Oncology Nurse certification.
