Job Description Teledyne CARIS is the world’s leading developer of geospatial software for ocean mapping and marine information systems, headquartered in Fredericton, Canada. We provide an integrated suite of software solutions designed for processing sonar and LiDAR data, managing and analyzing large datasets, producing nautical charts and maps, and delivering data via web services and enterprise systems. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Customer Service Administrator to join our CARIS team!
The Customer Service Administrator supports software licensing operations and provides administrative support. This role is responsible for assisting with processing software licenses, maintaining customer records, assisting with coordination of licensing renewals, and assisting with basic licensing inquiries. The position also provides general office administration support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. This is an entry-level position requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.
Your role in plain text: Software Licensing Administration (60%) • Assist with processing software license requests, activations, renewals, and transfers. • Maintain accurate licensing records within company systems. • Assist customers with basic licensing inquiries and requests. • Prepare licensing reports and analysis as required. • Assist with Support compliance activities and licensing audits.
Office Administration (40%) • Serve as the primary administrative support for the office. • Coordinate office, promotional supplies and vendor services. • Assist with visitor DPS screening, reception and meeting logistics. • Assist with company events, meetings, and employee engagement activities. • Support local Health & Safety and office facilities activities. • Provide general administrative assistance to executive management as required.
To be successful in this role, we would love if you have:
• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Customer Service, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of administrative, customer service, office support, or data entry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing records, data, and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Ability to learn and navigate software licensing, CRM, or ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle routine inquiries independently.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in customer service, software licensing, order administration, sales support, or office administration.
• Experience maintaining records, generating reports, and working with databases or business systems.
• Familiarity with software licensing processes, software renewals, subscription management, or technical support environments.
• Experience coordinating meetings, events, visitors, vendors, or office facilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices within an office environment.
