Job Description: Key accountabilities
People operations excellence
• Coordinate core employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment support, onboarding, employee changes, leave, benefits and offboarding.
• Ensure accurate and timely HR administration, people data, documentation and payroll coordination across the supported countries.
• Maintain clear local processes and appropriate controls in line with company policies, confidentiality requirements and local practices.
• Work with payroll, benefits and other service providers to resolve operational issues and maintain business continuity.
Local leadership and team support
• Build strong relationships with local leadership teams and provide practical HR support aligned with business priorities.
• Help leaders communicate people’s initiatives clearly and maintain employee connection during periods of change or transition.
• Bring local employee insights to the regional HR team and support effective implementation of regional and global programs.
Culture, engagement and employee experience
• Partner with local leaders and teams to strengthen an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing workplace culture.
• Plan and coordinate employee engagement, recognition, wellbeing, communication and team-connection initiatives.
• Act as an accessible and trusted HR contact for employees and managers, listening to feedback and helping address workplace needs.
• Create welcoming and consistent employee experience across onboarding, key employee moments and organizational changes.
Experience and capabilities
• At least 5 years relevant experience in HR operations, employee experience or generalist HR support, preferably across more than one Southeast Asian market.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the confidence to engage employees, managers and local leadership teams.
• Practical knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, HR administration and payroll coordination.
• Experience supporting employee engagement, internal communication or culture-building activities.
• Strong organization, judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
• Comfort working with HR systems and employee data; Workday experience is an advantage.
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Malaysian Malay, other foreign language literacy is a plus.
