About the Role - This is a fixed term 12 months parental leave cover starting from October 2026.
As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will be leading the Accounts Payable team in providing effective, accurate and efficient services throughout the end-to-end Accounts Payable function.
The core foundational expertise and skills you will bring to this role
You will be responsible for ensuring the end-to-end delivery of the Accounts Payable function, and be accountable for:
• Leading the Accounts Payable team of 6 members in the delivery of day-to-day activities (plus 2 overseas) • Liaise with overseas contractor (One Half) in the delivery of day-to-day activities. • Ensuring all invoice and statement reconciliations are completed in accordance with agreed business processes. • Ensuring accounts are paid in a timely and accurate manner. • Managing the follow-up of escalated invoice and payment queries with appropriate stakeholders, as required • Providing superior and responsive customer service to Key Stakeholders. • Completion of payment runs. • Oversee and manage the maintenance of Corporate Credit cards and transactions. • Preparation, review, and distribution of month end reporting and supporting the interpretation of these reports as necessary. • Oversee and manage the identification, planning and implementation of process and system improvements.
In leading the Accounts Payable team, the Accounts Payable Manager is also accountable for:
• Manage the day-to-day performance of the Accounts Payable team. • Establish KPI’s across the Accounts Payable team and regularly monitor achievement against these measures. • Leading the ongoing development of individual and team capability through development activities • Daily coaching and training of team members, as required • Delivery of formal training initiatives in consultation with the People & Culture department. • The ability to promote a positive and engaging work environment for the team
The traits that will help you succeed
• Experience in an Accounts Payable Manager role in a high volume environment • Demonstrated functional leadership experience with facilitation and team building skills. Must demonstrate strong credibility with a broad range of external stakeholders • Advanced English literacy and numeracy • Coupa experience is essential • Demonstrated experience in development, training and performance management of a team • Demonstrated experience in supplier management and major supplier reconciliations ( around 6000 invoices a month) • Working knowledge on systems Coupa, Epicor and DocStar experience highly regarded
