Key Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and approve new adhesives technologies for rubber to substrate bonding
• Implementation of rubber to substrate bonding agents at customer (incl. lead production trials at customer production site)
• Support growth and develop specialty adhesives market
• Generate new business opportunities and innovative ideas to increase our participation and/or reduce cost improving margins
• Responsibility for hands-on product development in the lab
• Technical service support at European customers
• Coordination with internal functions such as EH&S, Quality, Manufacturing.
Qualifications:
• Chemical Engineer or Chemist (PhD) with passion for synthesis and compounding, preferably with practical lab work experience
• Relevant experience e.g. in Rubber Industry, Paint Manufacturing or similar technologies is preferred
• Knowledge of organic chemistry and its application to adhesive formulation, surface interactions, curing systems, and performance optimization is preferred
• Distinct sense of responsibility and a high extent of leadership skills; practical experience is desired
• Communication skills as well as willingness to cooperate in a multicultural environment
• You are flexible and mobile, as the job requires extensive travel within Europe (min. 50 %)
• Fluent in English and German; knowledge of French would be an asset.
• Strong understanding and a high level of discipline in occupational health and safety as well as sustainability
