About this role
Principal Responsibilities
• Provide full-process and comprehensive legal and compliance support IBG/GTS to well manage legal and compliance risks. • Provide professional and insightful legal and compliance advice for IBG/GTS new product, exotic transactions, specific topics/projects and new regulatory requirement implementation. • Exercise vigilant risk assessment/identification & prevention, give early warning to risky areas/issues and take timely and sufficient action to escalate and rectify. • Review important internal procedures and promptly propose suggestions for formulation or revision. • Organize the implementation of relevant compliance reviews/testing/monitoring, coordinate regulatory inspections & evaluations, as well as report and handle compliance incidents. • Keep a close dialogue with various regulators, building a trust relationship with regulators. Participate in internal and external regulatory meetings, report new compliance requirements and regulatory issues if any, and prepare relevant compliance reports. • Help to foster a sound compliance culture, conduct compliance training, provide compliance consulting to employees, and promote adherence to behavioral compliance standards by all employees. • Complete other legal and compliance-related tasks as required. Education and Relevant Experience
• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably with a legal background and admission to the PRC bar. • Have 2-3 years banking or law firm experience, preferably in corporate banking area. • Basic knowledge on laws and regulations in the China banking industry. • Problem solving skills • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Innovation and stress management • Fluent in English (orally and in writing) • Proficiency in AI tools and problem-solving with AI is preferred
