• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs for multinational computational software company. • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. • Utilize graduate-level research and analysis skills to analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan modification of existing systems. • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. • Analyze current data processing to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for improvements. • Confer with engineers, programmers, and others to design subsystems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. • Consult with customers or other departments on project proposals or technical issues such as software system design or maintenance. • Coordinate installation of software systems. • Design, develop, and modify software systems by using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. • Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. • Modify existing software to correct errors, port to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. • Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status. • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. • Work with other programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other engineering or scientific personnel. • Develop C++ code. Improve the performance of the algorithms. • Investigate customer issues. • Work with other teams to improve the integration. • Write test cases. • Perform code reviews and discuss issues within the team. • Some telecommuting permitted.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field. • Utilize C++ to debug and resolve issues, refactor and optimize code, and enhance and develop new features. • Scripting with python • Data structure and algorithm, including STL, sort, backtracking, or Dynamic Programming (DP) • Fundamental AI and Machine Learning knowledge • Working within an Agile development methodology The annual salary range for California is $153,493 to $213,200. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
