Join our Technology Procurement Team and advance your career as a Sourcing Lead - Spanish speaking!
The Sourcing Lead will manage/support end-to-end Sourcing and Contracting projects for the Indirect categories across our global retail businesses. You will act as a category focal point, develop sourcing strategies, manage stakeholder and supplier relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, and deliver sustainable value in alignment with business and procurement objectives.
In this role You will:
• Act as the expert and focal point for business stakeholders in Spanish-speaking markets across the Indirect categories. Support to English-speaking markets is also expected.
• Develop and complete sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements.
• Manage the sourcing approval process in line with both Regional and Global governance requirements.
• Perform supplier screening/prequalification and monitor/manage the process status as per the related guidelines.
• Coordinate the sourcing projects/events (RFI/RFP/e-auction).
• Manage the supplier interactions and relationship throughout the sourcing project.
• Coordinate the bid evaluation with technical and commercial teams in accordance with bp Category Management Policy.
• Develop the Award Recommendation and obtain approvals as per governance framework.
• Determine the appropriate contract template and develop the contract content based on the sourcing strategy and scope of work.
• Negotiate contract and commercial terms with suppliers, within the defined parameters of legal and category guidance and escalate any contract term exceptions per the deviation process and manage the approvals.
• Manage the contract execution/signature process per the applicable POA (power of attorney) requirements for each bp entity.
• Negotiate contract amendments with suppliers.
What You will need to be successful:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in any subject area or related field
• Proven experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, category management or contracting in a multinational environment.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written)
• Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and sourcing processes.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Proven partner management and influencing skills across multiple organisational levels.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to prioritise and handle complex projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in relevant procurement systems (SAP Ariba, Fair Markit, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable criteria:
• Marketing category related experience is an advantage
• CIPS qualification or working towards membership.
• Experience working with global marketing agencies, media providers, or other global corporate service suppliers.
• Strong digital fluency and an interest in using technology to improve procurement outcomes.
• Experience working across international teams and managing partner relationships remotely.
• Additional European language skills are an advantage (German, Polish, Portuguese).
