Role and Responsibilities
• Perform basic job mechanical assembly functions as directed by Shift Lead or Supervisor safely and efficiently • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product • Assemble electrical and mechanical assemblies • Will be responsible for the quality of work, and workmanship standards • Will be responsible for entering failure reports to improve quality • Will be required to work with engineering to take conceptual design to physical layout • Will work with system test group to trouble shoot assemblies and rework materials in order to meet system requirements • Must perform hand-over-hand sub-system quality checks
Skills and Experience:
• Must demonstrate safe working conditions • Must be familiar with the theory and operation of mechanical components such as blowers, pumps, fans, valves, flow meters, and pressure regulators • Wiring and electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus • Must be able to read engineering drawings, and some schematics • Must work at cross functional levels to solve problems and recommend appropriate solutions. • HS diploma or technical/military school certification in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or process engineering/technology preferred. • At least 6 – 8 years of related experience.
