About this role
The role
At the University of Bristol, we are launching a new portfolio of Executive Education Programmes.
Our programmes are designed for working professionals and organisational clients, and we are looking for academics and/or current senior level practitioners who can translate expertise into engaging, applied, and transformational learning experiences.
These courses will be held remotely, but you may need to be available to travel to Bristol occasionally. Adjunct support may therefore be required to do the following range of activities, depending on the unit:
Develop the syllabus, storyboard the unit in detail and co-create content, provide supplementary expertise/content (guest expert/case study), support asynchronous teaching (online discussions, group work support), provide student feedback and marking. You will/may be working with internal staff/subject matter experts to set expectations.
What will you be doing?
We are keen to hear from experienced academics and/or current senior level practitioners with a distinguished track record in your field. You will have teaching experience or capability and can provide leadership in any of the below fields-
Change Management Project Management Strategy Leadership Supply Chain and Operations Artificial Intelligence Innovation Global Marketing Global Finance

We are looking for people with experience that might include-
Extensive experience of research or a proven track record in industry with a network of industry contacts and evidence of high-quality communications and/or impact activity. Ability to integrate cutting-edge research into executive-level teaching. In-depth understanding of their own specialism to enable the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field and training of colleagues. Experience and capability to act as a professional role model in the areas of teaching, scholarship, academic management, and professional practice. Demonstrated experience teaching at postgraduate or executive level in top 50 UK universities. Ability to translate complex research insights into accessible, high-level executive learning. Extensive experience in successfully leading the design of projects or programmes, preferably but not necessarily, within the Higher Education sector. Evidence of research impact, knowledge exchange, or industry collaboration. Experience delivering in online or hybrid environments. Confidence facilitating critical discussion in virtual settings. Ability to design engaging asynchronous learning activities.
Relevant qualifications
Essential
Degree educated within a relevant subject area.
Desirable
Masters degree (e.g. MA, MSc, MBA) or higher postgraduate research degree (e.g. PhD, DBA).
These roles would suit experienced academics and/or senior level practitioners who are looking to support the University of Bristol on an adjunct basis to deliver these world-class courses.
