Make an Impact with Baystate Health Baystate Health is seeking a Regional Security Officer to join our BNH Security team at Baystate Health in Westfield, Massachusetts. Our BNH Security team ensures consistent and safe service delivery throughout the hospital. The Regional Security Officer role gives you the opportunity to protect the life and property of all people on Baystate Health property. You’ll patrol hospital buildings and grounds and act to deter loss of institution, employees, patients, and visitors by preventing illegal entry by unauthorized individuals
The Regional Security Officer Will:
• Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious activities. • Enforce the access control program. • Examine doors and windows to ensure they are secure, check and maintain hospital vehicles' security. • Monitor fire, security, and infant security protection systems as applicable. • The officer is responsible for responding to all calls for assistance and responding to emergency codes. • Ability to make decisions guided by general instruction and practices requiring some interpretation. • May make recommendations for solving problems of moderate complexity and importance. • Provide escorts for patients, visitors, employees, and students. • Assists in traffic control for fire and other emergent situations. • Handle disruptive situations. • Conduct preliminary investigations. • Perform special assignments as assigned by the Security Supervisor
Schedule Details
• Job Type: Part-time 16 hours/week • Shift: 3rd (night) shift • Schedule: Two 8-hour shifts a week with rotating weekend and holiday coverage

Education: GED or HiSET (Required)
Certifications: Driver License - OtherOther, International Association Healthcare Safety and Security Basic Officer Certification - I.A.H.S.S.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
