What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities will be crucial in determining and successfully implementing solutions to maintain electrical systems and ensure continuous improvement. Specific duties include:

• Leading general/electrical maintenance tasks • Performing maintenance and PMs on electrical systems • Building, installing, and troubleshooting electrical/control circuits for plant utilities and equipment • Installing transformers and overhauling equipment for maintenance and production • Choosing fuses, circuit breakers, and overload relays for installation or replacement • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and following national electrical codes • Operating and maintaining 3-phase induction motors and in-plant power distribution systems • Diagnosing and servicing plant electrical systems (13,800 VAC, 480 VAC, 208 VAC, 120 VAC, etc.) • Diagnosing issues in control circuits, including motor control circuits and PLC control circuits • Configuring and troubleshooting VFDs • Performing basic pipe fitting as needed • Ensuring compliance with plant and departmental environmental health and safety regulations

What you'll bring

We are looking for ambitious candidates with proven expertise in electrical maintenance. To be successful in this role, you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience • Minimum of 15 years of electrical experience • Proficiency in using electrical test equipment, such as volt-ohm meters, ammeters, meg-ohmmeters, and wiggies • Capability to diagnose and set up DC equipment/controllers, generators, solenoids, relays, motors, and power supplies • Experience in performing industrial maintenance • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push or pull up to 100 lbs., and raise 30 lbs. above shoulder height • Capability to bend or stoop, ascend ladders, and reach overhead • Ability to fulfill confined space entry requirements and operate in challenging conditions (hot/cold temperatures) • Capability to work at heights • Proficiency in determining the appropriate sizes for fuses, circuit breakers, overloads, transformers, and wiring • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and national electric codes • Experience in setting up and diagnosing issues in motor control circuits, relay logic, and PLCs • Capability to diagnose, set up, and service all plant electrical systems at all voltage levels (13,800 Volt and below) • Basic pipe-fitting experience • Ability to meet visual acuity requirements as detailed in the Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity Procedure CL-01-01-037 • Audiometric testing and hearing protection requirements

The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 annually. This range reflects the expected salary span for the role. Compensation may be above or below this range according to market data and other factors, which are subject to adjustment. Individual pay depends on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant criteria.
