Career Category Law/Legal Job Description Job purpose:
• Act as the lead in-house lawyer for Amgen Türkiye, as a member of the ELMAC Law Group and the Türkiye Leadership Team. • Provide practical, business-focused legal advice across commercial, regulatory, medical, compliance, employment, corporate and litigation matters. • Partner closely with business and support functions to enable commercial and strategic objectives in line with applicable laws, regulations and Amgen’s ethical standards. • Collaborate with global, regional and local Law Group colleagues to ensure consistent legal support and effective management of local legal risks. • Represent Amgen Türkiye in relevant trade association bodies and manage local litigation matters, where needed, in coordination with external counsel. • Oversee external counsel relationships and manage the related legal budget efficiently. Key Responsibilities
• Provide practical and business-oriented legal counsel to support Amgen Türkiye’s operations and strategic objectives. • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and business arrangements. • Advise stakeholders on legal, regulatory, compliance, employment, data privacy and corporate governance matters. • Support business activities related to healthcare regulations, market access, medical affairs and clinical research. • Deliver legal training and guidance to promote ethical business practices and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. • Manage disputes and litigation matters, and coordinate with external counsel when required. • Represent the company in interactions with industry associations, external stakeholders and regulatory authorities as appropriate. • Collaborate closely with local, regional and global colleagues to identify risks, develop solutions and support business growth. • Oversee external legal support and ensure effective management of legal resources and budgets. Basic Qualifications
• Licensed lawyer and a law degree from a recognized law school • At least 6 years of post-qualification legal experience gained in a leading law firm and/or the legal department of a multinational company. • Experience in the life sciences or healthcare sector is preferred. • Fluency in English is essential. Additional languages are an advantage. • Strong analytical, legal drafting, oral and written communication skills. • Proven ethical judgment, maturity, strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to manage competing priorities and provide a high level of client service across multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Results-oriented mindset. • Experience working effectively within a matrixed global organization.
