How you will create an impact

• Manage complex Property & Specialty claims, including commercial property, catastrophe‑related losses, business interruption, extra expense, and specialized risk segments. • Conduct detailed coverage analysis, interpreting policy language, endorsements, exclusions, and reinsurance participation. • ·valuate complex damages using engineering reports, forensic analysis, field inspections, and expert consultations. • Coordinate direct and reinsurance claim components, including facultative placements and reporting requirements. • Prepare coverage positions, settlement recommendations, and regulatory‑compliant documentation for internal and external stakeholders. • Lead negotiations with insureds, brokers, vendors, and legal representatives to achieve fair and timely claim outcomes. • Support catastrophe surge operations, providing technical expertise during high‑volume periods. • Maintain accurate digital claim files in OneView and other AIG systems, ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory standards. • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on coverage, investigation techniques, and technical claims handling. • Any other related tasks required by AIG management.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of a combination of experience and studies. • This position is suitable for candidates with vast experience in claims handling. • Adjusters License Preferred. • Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation. • Knowledge of insurance regulatory and/or procedural requirements in Puerto Rico. • Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a strong attention to detail • Bilingual (English and Spanish). Excellent oral and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other units within/outside the department and companywide. • Exceedingly customer service oriented.
