Your role and responsibilities

Reporting to the Country Real Estate Manager, you will be a vital member of the Canada Real Estate team, acting as a finance business partner and collaborating with the Real Estate team to support local businesses in all matters related to ABB's real estate occupancy and operating costs. You will help develop the real estate strategy in line with wider division and product group strategies. In this role, you will provide key support to the business, ensuring accurate tracking and processing of all transactions. You will translate business strategy into plans and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks and recommend actions.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Real Estate function in Canada. Main stakeholders are Divisions heads and controllers

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Acting as a business partner to Real Estate leaders and business managers, supporting strategic planning, decision-making, and performance management initiatives.

• Leading the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Canada Real Estate while serving as the primary interface with local business units and the Global Real Estate Group.

• Performing financial and business analysis, reporting to business managers, and providing recommendations to support performance improvement, occupancy cost management, and real estate cost optimization strategies.

• Establishing cost structures, productivity initiatives, and capital efficiency measures while closely monitoring cash flow and supporting working capital improvement initiatives.

• Ensuring compliance with ABB policies, financial controls, internal guidelines, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to provide transparent and reliable financial and business information.

• Collaborating with Controllers, the Accounting Center, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the role

What you'll bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, controlling, finance, business partnering, or a related role.

• Experience supporting corporate real estate, facilities management, or occupancy cost management activities.

• Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting software, including Readsoft, SAP, CRIMS, RELEX & GMAS

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.

• French and English required. The role requires regular collaboration with internal stakeholders, business leaders, controllers, local business units, and Global Real Estate colleagues located within Quebec, across Canada, and internationally.
