The California Coalition for Worker Power (CCWP) is a statewide table of worker centers, labor policy advocates, and unions advancing strategies that build durable worker power across California. Our coalition focuses on structural reforms that strengthen worker organizations, expand collective voice, and protect workers, including immigrant and Black workers, from retaliation and exploitation.California Coalition for Worker Power seeks an Interim Managing Director who understands coalition dynamics, coalition tables, operational systems and finances and can work collaboratively with CCWP leadership team, staff, and partners.

• Location: Hybrid, must be California-based. Periodic travel to Sacramento and other in-state locations required.

Job Description
We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator to provide essential coordination to a statewide coalition of worker centers, labor partners, and community organizations, in order to operate effectively. This role supports communication and communication protocols, manages event logistics, digital and security documentation, financial reimbursements, and day-to-day coordination across coalition partners, to ensure that coalition and campaign activities stay organized, timely, and aligned.
The Administrative Coordinator will partner with CCWP leadership and workgroups to lead the following areas:
Administrative & Operational Support
• Manage calendars, scheduling, and meeting coordination for coalition leadership and staff.
• Coordinate and support virtual and in-person meetings, including agendas, note-taking, follow-up tasks, and logistics.
• Maintain organized digital filing systems, databases, and coalition records.
• Assist with expense tracking, invoice processing, reimbursements, and basic bookkeeping coordination.
• Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and operational materials as needed.
Communications Support
• Draft and distribute coalition updates, meeting reminders, announcements, and other communications.
• Support email list management and distribution of coalition newsletter using MailChimp.
• Assist with organizing sensitive coalition notes, campaign materials, presentations, and shared communications resources.
• Help maintain and update the coalition’s website, shared calendars, contact lists, and organizational directories.
Event & Program Coordination
• Drive planning and logistics for training, convenings, retreats, campaign events, and statewide gatherings.
• Coordinate with coalition partners including registrations, travel arrangements, interpretation needs, venue communication, catering, and materials preparation.
• Lead in-person event setup, participant support, and post-event follow-up.
Coalition Support
• Serve as a professional and welcoming point of contact for member organizations and external partners.
• Support coordination among coalition committees, working groups, and campaigns.
• Help track action items, deadlines, and coalition deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience working in labor, advocacy, nonprofit, or coalition-based organizations, with an understanding of collaborative, mission-driven environments and partner coordination.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Airtable, Monday.com, Google Workspace, or similar platforms; ability to create organized systems for tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and competing deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and stakeholders, while building trust, following through on commitments, and supporting a team-oriented culture.
• Commitment to worker justice, economic equity, and the values of coalition-based organizing and advocacy
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $70,304 - $75,000 to be negotiated based on experience and scope.

Supervision & Collaboration Structure
The Administrative Coordinator will:
• Report to the CCWP Policy Campaign Manager and support the coordination and execution of campaign and coalition priorities.
• Collaborate closely with the incoming CCWP Interim Managing Director and Co-Managing Directors, as well as other staff and coalition partners, to support effective communication, coordination, and organizational alignment.
