Graduate Engineer
Start your engineering career with Flynn through a structured 12-month Graduate Engineer Programme where you will learn on live, high-profile construction projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe. From day one, you will gain practical site experience, receive mentoring from experienced engineers, and get regular feedback to help you build confidence, technical skills and a long-term career in a supportive team environment.
As a graduate at Flynn, you will not be expected to know everything on day one. We are looking for people who are eager to learn, ask questions and get involved. You will be supported by experienced colleagues as you develop your technical knowledge, understand how projects are delivered, and grow into a confident engineer.

What you will do
• Support setting out activities and learn how to use surveying equipment accurately and confidently.
• Assist site teams by interpreting drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Record site progress, daily activities and key information clearly and accurately.
• Support quality, safety and documentation processes on site.
• Develop strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and project teams.
• Take direction, ask questions and contribute positively to the delivery of successful projects.
What you will learn

• Quality systems, site documentation, drawings and technical records.
• Setting out, surveying equipment, tolerances and site measurement.
• Materials, procurement, plant, equipment and subcontractor coordination.
• Commercial awareness and how good planning, accuracy and teamwork contribute to project success.
Who we are looking for
• A recent or upcoming graduate with a third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering or a related discipline, or someone due to complete one of these qualifications shortly.
• A curious and motivated person who enjoys problem-solving, being on site, working with others and learning through practical experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions and share information clearly.
• A proactive approach to learning, development and taking ownership of your work.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
