Job Title: Behavior Technician (BT)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to provide direct, one-on-one support to individuals with developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BT will implement individualized behavior intervention plans to help clients develop essential skills and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct behavior intervention services in home, school, or community settings.
• Implement treatment plans developed by a BCBA, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
• Collect accurate data on client progress and communicate findings to the supervising BCBA.
• Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to teach communication, social, self-help, and academic skills.
• Support clients in developing coping strategies and positive behaviors.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and other team members to support client success.
• Attend training sessions, team meetings, and supervision as required.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred).
• Completion of Behavior Technician training or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities a plus.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and work as part of a team.
Work Environment:
• Sessions may take place in homes, schools, clinics, or community settings.
• Requires physical activity, including bending, lifting, or playing with clients.
