Security Dispatcher
Responsibilities: - Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls from current and prospect customers, current employees and from the public. - Gather and record accurate information from callers by telephone, email and two way radio communication. - Dispatch appropriate personnel or resources to incidents or service requests to include police, fire and supervisors. - Monitor and track the status of ongoing incidents or service requests - Coordinate communication between field units, supervisors, customers and other entities - Provide clear and concise instructions to callers or field units as needed - Maintain accurate records of all calls and actions taken - Follow established protocols and procedures for handling different types of incidents
Experience: - Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role is preferred - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Proficient in using computer systems, two way radio and dispatch software - Knowledge of conflict management techniques - Experience in report writing and documentation - Familiarity with loss prevention strategies
