Caribbean Ideas Synapse is an integrated marketing agency that helps brands connect with customers through strategy, creativity, technology and exceptional execution. Our work spans digital marketing, advertising, content, design, brand strategy, events, PR and emerging marketing technologies.
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Associate who is curious, analytical, digitally savvy and excited about helping brands grow online.
As a Digital Marketing Associate, you will support the planning, execution, monitoring and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across paid media, social media, search, email, content and other digital channels.
Working closely with Digital Marketing Executives/Strategists, Creative and Client Services, you will help translate approved strategies into well-executed campaigns and digital experiences.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that successful digital marketing requires a combination of creativity, data, technology, experimentation and continuous optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Campaign Execution
• Support the implementation of digital marketing strategies and campaign plans developed for assigned clients.
• Set up, launch, monitor and optimize campaigns across channels including:
• Paid Social
• Paid Search
• Display Advertising
• SEO
• Email Marketing
• Content Marketing
• Mobile and other emerging digital channels
• Manage campaign setup including audiences, targeting, budgets, placements, creative assets, links and tracking requirements.
• Conduct quality assurance checks before campaigns go live.
• Monitor active campaigns and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Support A/B testing of creative, messaging, audiences, landing pages and other campaign variables.
• Maintain accurate campaign documentation and records.
Social Media & Content
• Manage the day-to-day execution of assigned client social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and other relevant platforms.
• Develop engaging digital content and copy aligned with approved client strategies and brand guidelines.
• Adapt content and messaging appropriately for different digital platforms and audiences.
• Schedule and publish content using appropriate social media management tools.
• Support the development and execution of social media campaigns, promotions, competitions and activations.
• Monitor online conversations, comments and messages and support community management in accordance with client guidelines.
• Identify emerging content formats, trends and platform features that could be relevant to assigned clients.
• Support influencer and creator initiatives where required.
Paid Media & Performance Marketing
• Set up and manage digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads and other relevant advertising platforms.
• Monitor campaign performance against established KPIs.
• Review key metrics including reach, impressions, engagement, CTR, CPC, CPM, conversion rates, CPA and ROAS where applicable.
• Assist with budget pacing and campaign optimization.
• Identify underperforming campaigns, audiences or creative and recommend adjustments.
• Support retargeting, audience segmentation and conversion-focused campaigns.
• Work with senior Digital team members to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
SEO, Web & Digital Analytics
• Support on-page and technical SEO activities.
• Conduct keyword research and basic search performance analysis.
• Assist with SEO monitoring and optimization recommendations.
• Set up and validate conversion tracking, pixels, tags and events across websites and digital platforms.
• Support the use of tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and platform analytics.
• Monitor website and campaign performance and identify meaningful trends.
• Assist with dashboards, campaign reports and performance summaries.
• Ensure digital tracking is correctly implemented wherever possible before campaigns launch.
Data, Reporting & Insights
• Collect and analyze campaign and channel performance data.
• Prepare clear reports highlighting performance against agreed objectives and KPIs.
• Move beyond simply reporting numbers by identifying what happened, why it may have happened and what we should do next.
• Identify trends, opportunities and areas requiring further investigation.
• Conduct competitor and market research to support campaign planning.
• Work with Digital Marketing Executives/Strategists to translate campaign data into optimization recommendations.
• Support post-campaign analysis and lessons learned.
AI, Automation & Emerging Technology
• Use AI and automation tools responsibly to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of digital marketing activities.
• Explore AI-assisted tools for areas such as research, ideation, copy development, keyword research, audience insights, campaign analysis and reporting.
• Identify repetitive processes that could potentially be streamlined through automation.
• Test and recommend new digital marketing, analytics, productivity and AI tools that could improve team performance.
• Maintain appropriate human review of AI-generated work and ensure outputs meet Synapse and client quality standards.
• Be mindful of confidentiality, intellectual property, brand standards and data privacy when using AI tools.
• Share useful tools, techniques and learnings with the wider Digital team.
Collaboration & Integrated Marketing
• Collaborate closely with Digital Marketing Executives/Strategists, Graphic Designers, Client Services and other members of the Synapse team.
• Participate in campaign kick-offs, brainstorming sessions and internal planning meetings.
• Translate approved digital strategies into clear execution requirements.
• Provide Digital and Creative teams with relevant platform specifications and requirements.
• Communicate campaign progress, challenges and opportunities proactively.
• Support the delivery of integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations while understanding when decisions should be escalated to more senior team members.
Continuous Learning
Digital marketing changes constantly, and continuous learning is a core expectation of this role.
The Digital Marketing Associate will:
• Stay current with developments in digital marketing, social media, paid advertising, SEO, analytics, AI and marketing technology.
• Monitor changes to advertising platforms, algorithms and industry best practices.
• Maintain relevant platform certifications.
• Explore emerging channels, tools and technologies.
• Share relevant case studies, campaign examples and industry developments with the team.
• Develop increasingly strong analytical and strategic capabilities with the goal of progressing toward greater ownership of digital strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree, diploma or professional certification in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations or a related field.
• Approximately 1–3 years of relevant digital marketing experience, preferably within an agency or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting or managing digital campaigns.
• Experience working with social media platforms and digital advertising tools.
• Working knowledge of paid social, PPC, SEO, content marketing and digital analytics.
• Experience preparing campaign reports and interpreting performance data.
• Current or recent Google and Meta certifications are strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with digital marketing and analytics platforms, including paid advertising, social media management, SEO, email marketing, content management, campaign tracking, and reporting/dashboard tools.
