About this role
Bluecadet is an award-winning, internationally-recognized design agency focused on producing transformative digital products and environments. We work with story and experience-driven organizations and brands. Past clients include The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Nike, MoMA, Harvard, the MIT Museum, Princeton, The Smithsonian Institution, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
We're looking for a Senior Web Producer to lead complex, enterprise-scale web development initiatives. You'll champion Agile methodologies while managing the delivery of large-scale websites and web applications, serving as the bridge between business strategy and technical execution. Working hand-in-hand with the Designers, Narrative Strategists, and Developers, you'll own the day-to-day health of your projects scope, schedule, budget, and team morale and partner with Product Owners to turn business requirements into clear, technical user stories. You anticipate risk before it becomes a problem, and use data to keep everyone aligned.
Primary Responsibilities
Own Delivery
• Plan and run the project. Guide websites and digital products from strategy through launch; scope, budget, timeline, and CMS delivery for complex builds on WordPress and Drupal.
• Keep it moving. Manage timelines end to end, clearing daily roadblocks to keep delivery on track.
• Give visibility. Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, with clear reporting on progress, budget, scope, and risk.
Bridge Business & Technical
• Own the backlog. Partner with Product Owners to translate business requirements into clear, technical user stories and keep priorities straight.
• Run the ceremonies. Lead sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, orchestrating sprints that balance client priorities with technical work.
• Remove bottlenecks. Identify and clear technical, resource, or process blockers across design, front-end, and back-end workflows.
Champion Process
• Stay organized. Maintain ticketing, roadmaps, and planning tools (Jira, GitHub Projects) so the whole team has clarity.
• Flex your approach. Apply Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as the project demands.
• Use the data. Monitor project health, flag concerning indicators early, and support accessibility, QA, and security checkpoints.
Grow the Team & the Studio
• Mentor. Coach junior producers and coordinators, reinforcing Agile/Scrum best practices studio-wide.
• Support new business. Contribute estimates, staffing plans, and production insight to pitches and RFPs.
Qualifications
• 5+ years managing web production, digital products, or technical projects — including large, content-rich institutional sites.
• Experience with CMS-based projects; familiarity with WordPress and/or Drupal strongly preferred.
• Hands-on Agile/Scrum chops! Sprint planning, backlog management, user stories, retrospectives, plus the judgment to flex to Waterfall or hybrid.
• Proficiency with Jira, GitHub, or similar tools.
• Technical fluency across APIs, hosting environments, deployment workflows, integrations, and content/database migrations.
• Strong client and stakeholder management: communicating budget, scope, risk, and tradeoffs clearly and often.
• Meticulous, organized, and a clear communicator under pressure.
• Nice to have: familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), experience with mission-driven or cultural clients, and a CSM/CSPO certification (not required).
We’re remote first
We operate a remote first model. This means your primary work location is remote, but you are expected to work out of our studios or client locations for: Collaboration sessions with client and/or colleagues, internal workshops, mentoring and team sessions, cultural and social events and on-site work installs, meetings and workshops.
