About this role

bbf: is one of the leading and fastest growing companies in the property market in Cyprus and Greece. We offer a wide range of services to our clients, including property sales, rentals, property management, construction, and other related services. At current, bbf: is seeking an experienced real estate Lawyer to join its in-house Legal department, with primary responsibility for the drafting, negotiation and execution of sale agreements across the Group's residential and mixed-use development portfolio.

The role is transaction-driven and commercially embedded: the successful candidate will act as dedicated legal counterpart to a designated associate of the Sales Department, supporting that associate's deal pipeline end-to-end while also contributing to the wider legal workload of the department. The position suits a lawyer who is comfortable operating at high volume without compromising drafting precision, and who understands that a sale agreement is both a legal instrument and a commercial deliverable in a live sales process.

Location : Limassol

Reporting to : Chief Legal Officer

Key Responsibilities

Sale agreement drafting and execution

• Draft, review and finalise sale agreements, reservation agreements, option agreements, addenda, assignment agreements, deeds of variation and powers of attorney for units across the Group's projects.

• Prepare agreements from approved project templates, ensuring accurate incorporation of unit, plot, permit, area schedule and payment schedule data.

• Draft bespoke and non-standard clauses where a deal deviates from the standard template, escalating material deviations to the Chief Legal Officer.

• Ensure each agreement correctly reflects the commercial terms agreed in the deal conclusion documentation, and reconcile discrepancies before execution.

• Manage the signing process, including remote and POA-based execution, and coordinate with buyers' external counsel.

• Manage all procedures related to the lands office, banking issues related to payments.

• Coordinate the KYC process between client’s lawyer, internal KYC department and sales representatives.

• Assist on other matters of the legal department as required, including corporate, construction, leasing, facility management and regulatory work.

• Support the Chief Legal Officer on ad hoc projects and on matters escalated from the sales function.

• Act as the assigned legal point of contact for a specific Sales Department associate and their portfolio of active and prospective transactions.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent); admission to the Cyprus Bar Association.

• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience with a demonstrable focus on drafting sale agreements for immovable property.

• Substantive real estate background: title, deposit of contracts, transfers, encumbrances, and the practical workings of the Department of Lands and Surveys.

• Working knowledge of Cyprus property-related regulation, including specific performance legislation, VAT on immovable property, and acquisition consents for non-EU purchasers.

• Fluency in Greek and English, with the ability to draft and negotiate to a professional standard in both.

• Track record of managing a high volume of concurrent transactions to deadline.

Competencies

• Drafting precision. Produces commercially protective drafting with no tolerance for error.

• Commercial judgement. Distinguishes genuine legal risk from negotiating noise, and gives clear answers rather than hedged ones.

• Responsiveness. Works to sales-cycle timeframes and communicates status proactively.

• Working relationship with sales. Able to be a constructive partner to a commercial team while holding firm where the Group's protection requires it.

• Ownership. Manages a portfolio autonomously and escalates on judgement, not by default.

• Discretion. Handles buyer personal data and confidential commercial terms in accordance with GDPR and internal policy.

What We Offer

• Direct exposure to a substantial and active development pipeline across multiple projects.

• Close working relationship with the commercial side of the business rather than a purely advisory remit.

• A department handling the full range of real estate legal work, with scope to broaden beyond transactional drafting over time.

• Competitive remuneration, benefits and professional development support
