ABOUT THE ROLE As an Engineering Manager, you will provide strategic and technical leadership for one or more engineering teams within our product organisation. You will lead engineers directly, contribute to product and engineering strategy, and ensure teams successfully deliver against business and customer needs. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL Lead engineering across one or more teams , ensuring successful delivery while balancing customer needs, business objectives, and engineering excellence. Contribute to product and engineering strategy alongside Product and Engineering leadership, helping translate Mercedes-Benz Group and MB.io priorities into clear engineering goals and team plans. Champion AI adoption across products, engineering practices, and team processes, helping teams leverage emerging technologies effectively to drive organisational evolution, capability building, and operating model excellence. Drive execution and accountability , ensuring strategic priorities are translated into measurable outcomes and delivered successfully. Lead, coach, and develop engineers , supporting performance, growth, engagement, and career development. Lead workforce planning, hiring, and resource allocation , ensuring teams have the capabilities and capacity needed to meet current and future business priorities. Lead change and continuous improvement initiatives , advancing engineering practices, team effectiveness, organizational health, and ways of working. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, product partners, and engineering teams, creating alignment across different interests and priorities. Guide key technical decisions , evaluate trade-offs, and enable teams to make sound engineering decisions while maintaining technical excellence. Track engineering performance, delivery, team health, AI adoption, and business impact through relevant KPIs.
