Bay View Childcare Children’s Team Leader Location: Capernwray, Carnforth Contract: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Responsible to: Registered Manager Salary: £28,915.33 per annum, with the potential to earn up to £35,635.33 per annum with sleep-in shifts
We’re seeking a motivated Children’s Team Leader to join our team at Bay View Childcare, a family-style home in Capernwray, Carnforth, supporting up to four young people aged 8–18 with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
You’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment, support daily operations, maintain high standards of care and deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
A full UK driving licence and a Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children & Young People are essential.

Produce, review and maintain high-quality care plans in line with legislation, Ofsted standards and Bay View Childcare policiesBuild positive relationships with young people and engage them in activities that support their development and wellbeingMaintain a safe, inclusive environment by modelling positive behaviour and ensuring staff follow policies, risk assessments and health and safety expectationsRecord and communicate key information, sharing updates with young people, families, professionals and the Registered ManagerSupport daily operations when the Registered Manager is absent, including staffing and care standardsAssist with budgeting, rota management, sleep-ins, on-call responsibilities and household planning such as menusLead or contribute to team meetings, encourage open communication and involve staff in improvement ideasEnsure staffing levels are appropriate, manage absences and conduct staff supervision sessionsMaintain up-to-date knowledge and skills through all required trainingRaise concerns appropriately, escalating to the Responsible Individual when necessary Bay View Childcare is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
