Lift Project Manager - New Installations & Modernisation

As a New Installations & Modernisation Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of lift installation and modernisation projects from initial planning through to completion. Working closely with customers, site teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on project management role combining technical, commercial and operational responsibility, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, safety and successful project delivery.

Your main responsibilities In this role, you'll be responsible for:

Managing the end-to-end delivery of lift installation and modernisation projects, ensuring milestones, budgets and quality standards are achievedActing as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, building strong relationships and managing expectationsPlanning, coordinating and monitoring project activities from pre-construction through to installation, commissioning, handover and post-completion supportManaging the delivery and installation of equipment, materials and resources to support efficient project executionEnsuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental requirements, including CDM regulationsCreating and maintaining a safe working environment for employees, customers, subcontractors and members of the publicManaging site permit-to-work processes and ensuring compliance with project-specific site requirementsConducting pre-installation and pre-modernisation reviews to identify risks, resource requirements and project readinessCoordinating site teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaborative project deliveryIdentifying project risks, technical challenges and site issues, implementing solutions to minimise delays and maximise project performanceManaging contract variations, contractual obligations and commercial considerations throughout project deliveryMonitoring labour utilisation, project productivity and site performance to support successful project outcomesSupporting monthly project valuations and reporting on project progress, costs and completion statusCarrying out quality checks throughout delivery to ensure compliance with customer requirements and Schindler quality standardsProviding technical support during pre-sales activities and contributing to project planning where required

Who you are Essential

Experience managing lift installation, modernisation, major repair or similar construction-related projectsStrong understanding of construction, installation and project delivery processesExperience coordinating site-based teams, subcontractors and multiple stakeholdersKnowledge of health and safety legislation and site management requirements, including CDM principlesCommercial awareness with experience managing project costs, variations and contractual requirementsAbility to interpret technical specifications and develop practical solutions to site and installation challengesExcellent planning, organisational and communication skillsFull driving licence valid for use in the UK Desirable

Project management qualification such as PMI, PRINCE2 or equivalentTechnical knowledge of lift and escalator systemsExperience within the lift, escalator or wider building services industryPrevious experience managing field-based engineering teams
