About this role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Inbound Team Member to join our Warehouse Operations team at Bathgate Distribution Centre.

Working within the Inbound operation, you will play a key role in ensuring stock is received, processed and put away safely, accurately and efficiently. Using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems, you will be responsible for receiving stock into the warehouse, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring products are moved to the correct locations using a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

As part of the role, you will work across a range of warehouse temperature-controlled environments, including Ambient, Chilled and Frozen areas, ensuring products are handled and stored in line with operational and food safety requirements. Full training and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.

This role operates on a shift basis, working 5 days over 7, including weekend working. Shifts are available within the hours of: •05:00 - 14:00 •11:00 - 20:00

Flexibility is required to support operational requirements across both shift patterns.

As part of our wider warehouse operation, colleagues employed within this role will be engaged under the Warehouse Selector contract and may be required to undertake warehouse selection duties in line with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities •Safely receive and process inbound deliveries. •Accurately book stock into the warehouse using handheld scanning technology. •Verify stock quantities and investigate discrepancies where required. •Ensure products are correctly labelled, receipted and recorded within warehouse systems. •Move stock safely and efficiently to designated warehouse locations using a variety of MHE. •Maintain high levels of stock accuracy and location integrity. •Complete stock checks and support inventory-related activities. •Identify and escalate damaged stock, shortages or quality concerns. •Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work. •Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse. •Communicate effectively with Leaders and colleagues. •Support warehouse selection activities when required by the business.

Pay and Benefits •£15.20 per hour •Contracted hours from 30 hours per week •Paid breaks •Full in-house MHE training provided. About You •Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy. •Can work safely, accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. •Is confident using handheld scanners, warehouse systems and MHE. •Demonstrates a high level of accuracy when booking stock, managing locations and maintaining inventory records. •Has strong communication skills and can build effective working relationships across the operation. •Takes ownership of tasks and works with a positive, can-do attitude. •Is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping. •Has experience operating MHE or is willing to undertake relevant training. •Can perform manual handling activities throughout their shift. •Is flexible and willing to support operational requirements across the warehouse.

Desirable Experience •Previous Goods In, Inbound or warehouse experience. •Experience using scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS/SAP). •Previous MHE experience, including PPT, Reach Truck, Counterbalance) •Experience working within a fast-paced distribution environment.
