Make a difference with youth, schools, and communities! The Wellness Coalition of Rural Linn County and the Mount Vernon Lisbon PATH Partnership is seeking 2-3 energetic, dependable individuals for flexible grant-funded positions: • Youth Engagement & Prevention Coordinator • Community Engagement & Prevention Coordinator • Prevention Outreach & School Resource Coordinator Responsibilities may include implementing school-based prevention programs, coordinating youth leadership activities, engaging coalition and community partners, supporting outreach and events, and helping carry out grant-funded prevention initiatives. Applicants may pursue one role or a combination of responsibilities. Flexible schedules of 20–40 hours per week are available. Thirty- and 40-hour positions include applicable employee benefits. Annual full-time salary range: $40,000–$60,000. Compensation for reduced-hour positions will be prorated based on the approved schedule. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, assigned responsibilities, and available grant funding. Experience in prevention, education, youth development, public health, behavioral health, community engagement, communications, or law enforcement is valuable. Position Purpose Bring residents, schools, businesses, organizations, and community leaders together to turn prevention plans into visible, sustainable community change. Qualifications 1. Experience in community engagement, coalition development, event coordination, public health, prevention, communications, or related work preferred. 2. Ability to facilitate meetings and build partnerships across multiple communities and organizational sectors. 3. Bachelor's degree in prevention, education, public health, behavioral health, human services, communications, community development, or a related field preferred; relevant education and successful experience may be considered in place of a degree. 4. Demonstrated ability to build respectful, productive relationships with youth, families, schools, community organizations, and diverse partners. 5. Strong organization, communication, presentation, and follow-through skills. 6. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively within a collaborative team. 7. Willingness to learn and implement evidence-based prevention programs, grant requirements, data-collection procedures, and confidentiality expectations. 8. Proficiency with common office, virtual-meeting, presentation, and data-entry technology. 9. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the service area and for required training or conferences. 10. Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for meetings, trainings, conferences, or community events. 11. Successful completion of required criminal history, child-abuse, and other employment background checks. 12. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Performance Responsibilities  Build and maintain relationships with coalition members, schools, colleges, businesses, retailers, law enforcement, healthcare providers, faith communities, parents, youth-serving organizations, and local government.  Support recruitment, orientation, engagement, recognition, and retention of coalition members representing required community sectors.  Coordinate coalition meetings, workgroups, partner meetings, agendas, materials, follow-up communication, and action items.  Implement assigned activities from DFC, SPF-PFS, STOP Act, and other approved grant action plans.  Conduct community outreach and provide prevention education at meetings, events, trainings, and public-information activities.  Coordinate retailer education, responsible-seller resources, community-policy education, and other environmental prevention strategies.  Assist community partners with adopting and implementing evidence-based programs, policies, practices, and prevention resources.  Plan and support community events, town halls, conferences, campaigns, trainings, and awareness activities.  Work with youth and partners to develop culturally appropriate, accessible, and community-relevant prevention messaging.  Prepare presentations, outreach materials, meeting communications, social-media content, and resources.  Track contacts, participation, activities, outputs, milestones, and follow-up needed for grant reporting.  Collect and organize community feedback, environmental-scan information, partner data, and other approved assessment information.  Coordinate closely with the Executive Director, Data Analyst, Fiscal Agent, evaluators, and other project staff.  Follow applicable district, coalition, grant, procurement, confidentiality, records-management, and data-security requirements.  Participate in required staff meetings, coalition meetings, professional development, training, and conferences.  Represent the Coalition professionally and communicate its mission accurately to partners and the public.  Maintain and improve professional competence in coalition development, community prevention, grant implementation, and engagement strategies.  Perform other duties consistent with the position and grant requirements as assigned. Terms of Employment 1. Annual grant-funded employment agreement. Current primary grant funding is anticipated through 2031; continued employment is contingent upon grant funding, program need, satisfactory performance, and Board approval. 2. Flexible grant-funded schedule of 20-40 hours per week, based on program needs and the selected candidate. 3. Thirty- and 40-hour positions include applicable employee benefits in accordance with eligibility requirements, district policy, and the individual employment agreement. 4. Eight paid holidays, vacation, and sick days annually for eligible positions, prorated as applicable and administered according to the employment agreement and district policy. 5. Travel throughout the six-community service area in Rural Linn County and occasional in-state or out-of-state travel for required training and conferences may be required. 6. Work may include occasional evenings, weekends, school-day hours, and community events. 7. Employment conditions, compensation, leave, benefits, and other provisions will be governed by the approved individual agreement and applicable Mount Vernon Community School District policies. Evaluation Performance of this position will be evaluated by the Executive Director, with oversight from the Fiscal Agent, in accordance with the individual employment agreement, applicable district policies, approved grant requirements, and assigned performance objectives.
