About this role
*This position is contingent upon the student's enrollment. This position will require the individual to support a student with disabilities in tasks of daily learning and living while working closely with special education staff and related service providers. All Paraprofessionals must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent. Additionally, Paraprofessionals must be qualified through one of the following options:
• Complete two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
• Obtain an associate's (or higher) degree (must provide supporting documents)
Newly hired paraprofessionals who do not meet one of these requirements will be required to certify through the Parapro assessment as soon as possible after being hired as noted below:
• Meet a proficiency target of 455 on the Parapro standardized assessment.
• In addition to the options identified above, Paraprofessionals may achieve local status by meeting a local proficiency score on the Parapro of 450.
