Job Description Summary Exalt Academy is seeking a strong, student-focused Middle School Math Teacher who will also teach at least one high school mathematics course for credit. The ideal candidate will have deep content knowledge, be certified to teach in Arkansas, and demonstrate the ability to deliver rigorous, engaging instruction to students at multiple levels. Qualified Candidates Must:
• Be certified to teach Math in the state of Arkansas (middle or secondary)
• Teach math content that prepares students for Algebra I and beyond
• Differentiate instruction for a range of learners using data and diagnostics
• Build students' conceptual understanding and procedural fluency
• Incorporate problem-solving, mathematical discourse, and real-world application
• Collaborate with academic teams to ensure aligned instruction and interventions
• Maintain classroom expectations through consistent routines and behavior support
• Communicate regularly with families and contribute to a positive school culture
Duties Include:
• Teach standards-aligned math courses to middle school students and at least one high school credit course
• Deliver instruction that emphasizes conceptual understanding, application, and skills practice
• Administer and analyze formative and summative assessments
• Participate in MTSS, RTI, and enrichment/intervention blocks as needed
• Maintain records, prepare lesson plans, and support student mastery of content
• Collaborate in grade-level and content-area team meetings
• Participate in all required school events, professional development, and initiatives
Education & Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Certification in Mathematics (grades 4–8, 7–12, or secondary) preferred
• Experience teaching Algebra I or other high school credit math courses preferred
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in using digital learning tools, graphing software, and assessment platforms
• Ability to incorporate technology to enhance math instruction
• Comfortable with online data systems to track student performance
Physical Requirements
• Ability to remain in a classroom or instructional setting for extended periods and regularly move throughout the classroom, school building, and campus.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel or stoop as needed to support instruction and student supervision.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move classroom materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to operate classroom technology and instructional equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and school leaders and respond appropriately to student and school needs.
• Ability to supervise students during classroom instruction, transitions, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned activities.
