About this role
To effectively and cost-effectively manage all LISD (and county-wide when directed) facility construction, renovation, and maintenance projects to ensure a safe and healthy environment for learning and teaching. Provide effective leadership and direction to custodial and maintenance staff to ensure district compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and a safe, conducive teaching/learning environment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required:
• Associate's Degree related to Facilities Management (or other equivalent qualification/certification)
• MSBO Certification as a Facilities Director or able to obtain within two years of hire
• Ten (10) Years of Successful Work in Related Field
• Five (5) years of Supervisory experience
• Demonstrated computer and Technical Experience
• Effective Written and Oral Communication Skills
• Effective Human Relations Skills
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/or Facilities Administration
• Experience in Total Quality Management Administration
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS
• MSBO Certification as a Facilities Director or able to obtain within two years of hire
• Integrated Pest Management (IPM) State Certification
• Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Certification – State/Federal
• Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Level S-5 Certified Operator for Type II Drinking Water System
