Transportation Supervisor Central Office - Transportation Office Start Date: Immediate 12 Month Position Job Goal: The Transportation Supervisor will assure the professional operation of the district's Transportation Office for all district-wide transportation services. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below. Qualifications:
• High School diploma and/ or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of experience managing a Transportation Office or Bus Company preferred.
• Experience with ASPEN student data system and the MUNIS accounting software preferred.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of and familiarity with technology and electronic equipment.
• Possess a 7D license.
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism with the understanding that honesty and ethics are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide clear directions and respond accordingly to other staff.
• Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with staff and other departments.
• Ability to work well under pressure with strong attention to detail.
• A high degree of organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interact with service providers, staff, and the Attleboro community in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Performance Responsibilities:
• Manage the Transportation Office's two clerical employees
• Be the primary contact for all Attleboro Public Schools's transportation service providers.
• Direct all program operations related to the school department's student transportation needs; Operations include bus route planning, private bus contract oversight, managing SPED student transportation personnel, and fleet maintenance.
• Coordinate Homeless Transportation in accordance with the McKinney-Vento Act.
• Oversee program budgeting
• Ensure compliance with state safety and licensing mandates.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Performs other related job duties as required.
