Estimated Start Date: 09/28/2026 Location : Transportation Central, 5346 Parkway Boulevard, Land O'Lakes, FL 34639 TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE FICA W BENEFITS 245 Days Per Year Full Time, Benefit Eligible - 3 Year Apprenticeship Program JOB SUMMARY Under direct supervision of the shop manager and/or a journey worker the apprentice will assist with the responsibilities for the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel-driven vehicles and related heavy and specialized equipment and reviewed in accordance with specifications and accepted standards and procedures. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
• Current and valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) upon completion of the apprenticeship program
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• All hires must pass the pre-employment drug screening according to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employees Testing Act (OTETA).
• All hires must meet the physical requirements of the Post Offer Employment Testing (POET).
