About this role
SUMMARY This person will assist with meal prep, serving meals, and cleaning up after mealtime. GENERAL DUTIES
• Must be able to lift 40lbs; reach, bend, squat; stand for long periods of time
• Prepare and serve breakfast carts daily for the Universal Breakfast Program
• Assist in preparing
• Prepare breakfast & lunch components
• Assist in serving lunch lines
• Monitor and assist students
• Stock and maintain milk levels in serving cooler
• Wash tables
• Run dishwasher
• Assist in cleaning up after meals are served
• Light housekeeping
• Assist head cook with any additional tasks as needed
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous school cafeteria experience preferred
Terms of Employment:
• Part-time; average 20 hours per week; 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
• Background check and fingerprinting (specific to Michigan Public School employment) required
