Summary: To assist with the efficient operation of the elementary media center. Duties/Skills/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Bilingual skills helpful; Ability to keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas and techniques; Repair books and other media center materials; Supervise students as directed; Check out books and materials as needed; Conduct book and materials inventory; Develop working knowledge of KPS' library computer program; Empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic learners, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information; High level of organizational skills including a high degree of attention to details; Excellent communication skills; Good attendance and punctuality; Ability to work in a diverse environment; All other duties as assigned by the administrator; Ability to work with student, parents, teachers, and community agencies in a positive manner; Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community; Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others; Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District; Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage; Compensation/Working Conditions: Per Secretarial/Clerical Employee Group Agreement Application Process: https://kvilleps.schoolspring.com Please send email to Mr. Eric Alcorn, Assistant Superintendent of HR; [email protected] We are committed to hiring talented employees to enhance the district's stance and focus on equity and inclusion for all students, employees, parents, and community members of Kelloggsville.
