About this role
This placement provides the opportunity to gain practical experience in a Pharmacy retail setting while developing key skills. The participant will receive excellent on the job training in a busy retail environment, helping to generate good work ethics and strengthen the participant’s personal and interpersonal skills by engaging with the public. This also helps build confidence and self-esteem. The successful candidate will be trained in the following: • Customer Engagement: Learning how to greet and assist customers with queries. • Delivering and ensuring a high level of customer service across the whole team • Product Knowledge: Become familiar with the different brands and products • Operating Till • Maintaining store’s visual presentation and shop standards • Pricing, processing, replenishing, and rotating of stock. • Preparing promotional materials and displays Full training and mentoring will be provided throughout the placement.. This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
