The Orthopaedic Product Specialist will Support, develop and grow the existing Orthopaedic business in the territory and successful convert new business opportunities. • Turn sales into new accounts • Support current business in existing hospitals • Product support and education • Provide In service training for nurses and surgeons • Communicate with purchasing departments and aid in HSE procurement process • Scrub and assist in a training capacity Key Accountabilities The Surgical Sales Rep is accountable for the following areas: Provide accurate information regarding all products to orthopaedic consultants and nursing staff. Provide in-theatre support and training to consultants and nursing staff regarding the use of our products. Assist in the promotion/correct use of our products. Ensure excellent service, and seamless supply, to customers to ensure surgical procedures proceed successfully every-time. Provide support to LMS training and education events. Build and develop relationships with Clinical decision makers and influencers. Cover surgical cases as required to support regional colleagues. Qualifications • Knowledge of orthopaedics, trauma, anatomy and surgical technique essential • Scrub experience an advantage. • Full driver’s licence. You will also need • Excellent communication and team-working skills • Strong sense of urgency to respond to customer needs, and ability to work on own initiative. • Excellent organisational skills, plan workload and prioritise effectively. • Initiative for problem-solving and generating new ideas. • Flexibility - willing to work the hours required for the successful completion of tasks. • Resilience – ability to work in a challenging, stressful, and fast paced environment.
