We are currently seeking professional drivers (licence category C+E only Full-Time and Part-Time positions available Requirements • Candidates must be over 25 years old for insurance purposes. • At least 2 years driving experience operating heavy commercial trucks. • Current depots under contract require the candidate to drive and work in both Ireland and Mainland UK. • Must hold: o current, endorsement free driving licence (licence category C+E) o Valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card o Valid and up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card. • A good level of written and spoken English is necessary. • Good personal presentation is required as you will be dealing with our customers. • We require drivers to have a good accident record for insurance purposes. • We are a friendly and flexible employer interested in working with likeminded drivers. • Right hand drive experience is essential. • Maximum 90hrs over two consecutive weeks. All driving must be completed within EU regulation 561/2006. • Annual Salary for full time positions from €36,605 General Duties include but not limited to: • To safely operate HGVs, including loading and unloading chilled and frozen cargo or other. • Thorough understanding of RSA/EU driving limit laws and basic vehicle maintenance. • To conduct daily vehicle checks including fridge temperature checks and routine maintenance reporting to ensure roadworthiness. • Applicants must be competent to parallel park vehicles, practice emergency stops, and supervise the loading & unloading of cargo. • Further essential competencies include maintenance of concentration for long periods, operation of GPS systems, and reading of maps • Plan routes efficiently while complying with road traffic and driver regulations. • Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers and colleagues. • Experience driving a HGV truck in both urban and rural environments required. • Delivery of goods to specified locations, ensuring they arrive on time and in good condition. • To ensure the security of cargo during transit. • Communicate punctually with transport managers regarding traffic delays, route changes, or delivery issues. • Ensure all shipping papers, delivery dockets, and customs/transit receipts are signed and safely returned to transport office. • Candidates must maintain their vehicle to a high standard, keeping your vehicle clean, tidy, and presentable at all times. • Applicants are expected to work both independently and as part of a team and adhere strictly to the company and depot health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
