Job Title: Electronics Service Technician Company: Adam Tech4U Ltd Location: 2 Eyre Square, Galway Salary: €37,000 per annum Hours: 39 hours per week, full-time, permanent Contract Type: Permanent About the Role Adam Tech4U Ltd is seeking a skilled Electronics Service Technician to join our growing repair team in Galway. The successful candidate will install, maintain and repair the physical components of smartphones, laptops, tablets and other computing and electronic equipment, including ad hoc repairs to small electronic devices such as smartwatches. The role requires excellent fault-finding skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality repairs within agreed timeframes. Key Responsibilities Diagnose hardware faults across a range of computing and electronic equipment, including smartphones, laptops, tablets and smartwatches. Install, maintain and repair physical components, including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, keyboards, internal hardware and other components. Carry out component-level repairs and microsoldering where required. Repair water-damaged devices and equipment. Install, update and troubleshoot device software and operating systems across multiple platforms. Test repaired equipment to ensure full functionality and quality standards are met. Maintain accurate repair records and inventory of replacement parts and components. Follow company quality, health and safety procedures. Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and customers across the full range of devices serviced. Essential Requirements Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as an Electronics Service Technician, Mobile Phone Repair Technician or a similar electronic repair role. Experience diagnosing and repairing smartphones, laptops and other consumer electronic devices. Good knowledge of Android, iOS and common laptop operating systems. Ability to use electronic testing and repair equipment safely. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills in English. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Skills Experience in motherboard repair and microsoldering. Experience using diagnostic software and specialised repair tools. Technical qualification in electronics, electrical engineering or a related discipline is an advantage but not essential. Benefits Permanent full-time employment.
