The Irish Wheelchair Association is offering Community Employment (CE) positions supporting people with physical and sensory disabilities in our Day Centre. Your work will include: Supporting Members during daily activities in the Day Centre Assisting with leisure activities such as boccia, arts & crafts, drama, cooking and social events Accompanying Members on outings and community trips Assisting with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner Helping with bus transport runs (pickup and drop-off service) Safely operating lifting equipment and securing wheelchairs on buses Providing general assistance and light cleaning duties Working as part of a friendly and supportive team What We Offer: A welcoming and supportive team environment Accredited training opportunities The opportunity to work towards a QQI Major Award Valuable hands-on experience in the health and social care sector Weekly payment under CE rates The chance to make a real difference in people’s lives We are looking for someone who: Has a caring and positive attitude Enjoys working with people Is reliable and responsible Works well as part of a team Is willing to learn and take part in training A “can-do” attitude is more important than experience.
