Job SummaryYou will serve as a Program Manager to a major NAVAIR Aviation Training Platform providing management development and acquisition of Maintenance and Aircrew training systems. The position is in Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) and the position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Leading an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to provide comprehensive Program Management for Aviation Training Systems; 2) Planning, directing, and evaluating the full scope of acquisition and resource management for these programs; 3) Ability to plan for and synthesize requirements across diverse competencies-including engineering, logistics, financial, and contracts-to develop complete acquisition and procurement packages; 4) Adept at establishing and maintaining relationships with key individuals and groups to ensure a deep understanding of training system requirements. Major DutiesYou will be responsible for assigned platform training projects to ensure fulfillment of designated technical cost, schedule and performance objectives.You will prepare and brief cost, schedule and performance status, risks and issues at periodic Program Management Reviews.You will create and maintain files documenting the performance of required duties/responsibilities and make such files available for reviewYou will be responsible for overall management, direction and control of the acquisition, development, integration, testing, production, fielding, and life cycle support of the Naval Training Systems in support of the Platform PMA.
