Major DutiesServe as a board-certified Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology with emphasis on ambulatory care.Perform a range of medical duties within the clinic within the scope of OB-GYN practice; examines patients; makes diagnosis; administers treatment, and performs routine OB-GYN procedures.Order and interpret laboratory and radiological tests.Incumbent should have expertise in both abdominal and transvaginal ultrasonography as pertains to ambulatory OB-GYN care.Utilize and perform screening and diagnostic modalities for GYN malignancies (biopsies/Colposcopies).As appropriate, refer patients to others as required for further evaluation either on an outpatient or inpatient basis.Serve as a consultant on OB-GYN related issues to Primary Care providers and as a consultant to the Commander regarding OB-GYN services.Available on call to advise medical officers of procedures to be followed in the care and treatment of difficult cases, and to answer questions of ward personnel regarding management of hospitalized OB/GYN patients.Provide inpatient Labor and Delivery services and performs OB/GYN surgery.Direct assisting medical officers, nurse anesthetists and O.R. nurses in the care and treatment of patients.Administer and prescribe medicine and other associated professional treatments.Complete medical records per regulation either in writing or via computer input.Participate in CME, required clinic and staff training.Provide input and direction in policies related to OB-GYN care.
