QualificationsRequired Work Experience One to three years of experience with customer service, operation of IT, telecom, and/or office equipment, and experience maintaining inventory management systems or equivalent databases. Required Special Skills/ Knowledge Experience maintaining inventory management programs or equivalent databases. Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing. Knowledge of ticketing software and procedures. Knowledge of office equipment, computers, and relevant software and web applications. Working Conditions Work is performed in a professional office environment within the Senate, where the pace can vary depending on organizational needs, office transitions, and technology-related activities. Work involves regular use of computers, handheld devices, and other office equipment, along with frequent interaction with Senate offices, committees, vendors, and internal teams. Work requires moving, lifting, or transporting IT equipment such as laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals. Occasional travel within Senate facilities is expected when conducting physical inventories, delivering equipment, or assisting with office closures and transitions. Work requires standing, walking, bending, or reaching during equipment handling or inventory activities.
Major DutiesServes as a point of contact for Senate offices, responding to routine inquiries and tickets related to lost, stolen, damaged, or reassigned equipment. Initiates and processes invoices for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment under established guidelines. Maintains inventory control across platforms, conducts physical inventories, and updates asset records in the inventory management system. Enters and updates data in tracking systems, runs basic reports, and ensures changes derived from additions, deletions, or assignments are reflected accurately. Assists in office closings by following established checklists, timelines, and procedures for handling returned equipment. Supports ordering, receiving, shipping, delivery, transfer, installation, and disposal of equipment by validating order information and flagging issues for resolution. Coordinates with SAA Finance and vendors to help create purchase requisitions and resolve routine billing or equipment concerns. Other duties, as assigned.
