Job SummaryYou will serve as a Senior Welder in the Manufacturing Operations Branch, Prototype and Manufacturing Division, Prototype, Manufacturing & Test Dept, SE & ALRE Group, of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector preforming some or all of the following duties: 1) Providing welding and metal fabrication support for ALRE and Support Equipment systems including steam catapults, arresting gear, jet blast deflectors, electro-magnetic aircraft launcher, advanced arresting gear, visual landing aids, and other related equipment used throughout the Fleet; 2) Preparing technical documentation, data, and serves on engineering integrated product teams engaged in the design, prototyping and manufacture of new or replacement parts; 3) Providing labor hours and material requirement estimates for ALRE, repair, maintenance, overhaul and installation; 4) Disseminating information and instructions received from the section foreman, branch head or technical personnel to ensure compliance with procedures to meet deadlines; 5) Welding and fabricating ALRE and SE components adhering to NAVSEA-278 standards and requirements. Major DutiesYou will provide maintenance, repair and installation support for Cryogenics systems supporting air operations throughout the Fleet.You will provide preventative and corrective maintenance for PMDs manufacturing equipment.You will provide formal and informal training as well as on-the-job instruction as appropriate to fellow employees to ensure skills and certifications are maintained.You will obtain and records data, develops graphs / charts, data collection, submits written reports and makes appropriate recommendations in support of projects.You will maintain current knowledge of procedures, policies, instructions, notices, technical directives, drawings, and directives to answer questions of other workers.
