Job SummaryThis position is located at Fort McCoy Pine View Campground is a large full-service campground that includes over 170 campsites and 17 cabins. A well-stocked camp store provides essentials, and a wide range of activities are available to guests. Announcement will have a first cutoff date of Sep 14, 2026, and applicants that submit a complete application packet prior to that date and found eligible may be given first consideration. Major DutiesAs a Lead Recreation Assistant, works under the supervision of the Recreation Specialist (Program Manager). Serves as shift manager during absence of Recreation Specialist (Program Manager).Leads staff and reviews work assignments. Trains and provides guidance to lower graded employees.Serves as a recreation assistant within area of responsibility. Instructs customers on proper user of equipment and programs. Issues/receives equipment, collects fees, accounts for monies, safeguards funds and makes daily deposits.Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.Performs other duties as assigned.
