Support planning and resource prioritisation across aviation safety teams Ensure quality and consistency across aviation safety activities Permanent position based in Wellington About the role The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is seeking a skilled Advisor, Planning and Support to join our Aviation Safety Oversight Group. Working closely with the Manager, Planning and Support, you'll play a key role in coordinating planning activities, supporting effective resource allocation, and helping the group prioritise work to achieve organisational objectives. You'll act as an important liaison between teams, coordinating work that requires inspector input and partnering with colleagues across operational policy, guidance, practice development, learning, and capability functions. Key responsibilities: Support planning, triage and prioritisation activities across the Aviation Safety Oversight Group Coordinate work programmes and assist with effective allocation of resources across the group Undertake quality assurance checks of regulatory activities and documentation Facilitate communication and collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning, workflow management and operational effectiveness The salary band for this role is $83,600 to $102,302. Starting salaries are based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities. To succeed in this role, you'll demonstrate: Experience advising on or implementing triage frameworks, workflow management systems, and prioritisation processes Proven ability to manage competing demands and provide advice on resource allocation and work prioritisation Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing correspondence and responding to complex stakeholder enquiries Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing practical solutions Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in planning, documentation and regulatory processes A track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders A customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement About us The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is New Zealand’s aviation safety and security regulator.
