About this role
Building better together. That's what we've been doing at DSG since 1926. Together with our customers and partners, we aim to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and circular construction sector. To that end, our brands are continuously expanding their product offering in circular and bio-based products and materials. We are also reducing our company's climate footprint. As a family business, we prioritize the well-being, development, and job satisfaction of our employees. Additionally, DSG aims to be the first building materials wholesaler that communicates transparently about our sustainability ambitions and the impact we realize throughout the value chain. We can only achieve all this together with our supply chain partners. Building better together is a step-by-step process, and this Code of Conduct is a part of it. In this Code of Conduct for Business Partners, we outline the principles, requirements, values, and standards that DSG expects from all its suppliers of goods and services - also referred to as our "business partners." The Code describes what we expect from our business partners regarding business integrity, human rights, working conditions and the environment. The principles of this Code of Conduct are based on DSG's sustainability policy and internationally recognized sustainability guidelines, detailed below. We follow the United Nations Guidelines on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises when mapping the negative impact of our organization and value chain. We expect our business partners to also identify the impact of their business activities on people and the environment and to take appropriate measures to minimize their negative impact. Business integrity Corruption, bribery, and fraud Competition law Human rights and conditions of employment No child labor No forced labor and inhumane treatment Prohibition of discrimination Safety and Health Freedom of ass...
