Core responsibilities - Advise on residential and commercial lease agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms. - Handle disputes and procedures related to rent, maintenance, defects, termination, eviction, and security deposits. - Assess legal risks and translate legislation and case law into clear, actionable guidance. - Prepare legal correspondence, notices, and procedural documents; coordinate with external counsel when needed. - Represent or support clients in negotiations, mediation, and (where applicable) litigation processes. - Maintain accurate case files, timelines, and documentation; ensure confidentiality and compliance. - Monitor developments in huurrecht and update templates, policies, and internal knowledge resources. Required skills and qualifications - Completed legal education in Dutch law; specialization or demonstrable experience in huurrecht. - Strong drafting and analytical skills; able to interpret statutes, contracts, and jurisprudence. - Clear communication in Dutch (written and verbal); client-focused and solution-oriented. - Negotiation skills and professional judgment under time pressure. - Accurate, structured working style with strong stakeholder management.
