The Amsterdam Law School of the University of Amsterdam is looking for an innovative, creative and inspiring assistant professor in the field of international criminal law, with a specific focus on European and transnational criminal law. The starting date is ideally (no later than) 1 January 2027. Your core tasks in this position are to teach and develop education in the field of international and transnational criminal law, to conduct research and to fulfil administrative tasks. We are particularly looking for someone with expertise in European criminal law and/or transnational criminal law. As assistant professor, you will have a key role in the LLM master program in International and Transnational Criminal Law. You will be tasked with coordinating courses in our program as well as delivering lectures and seminars. Moreover, you will supervise LLM theses within the realm of international and transnational criminal law. In the future, you may also be asked to teach criminal law courses in Dutch.
