We are looking for a friendly, motivated, customer focused individual to join our Trading team!
Main duties of the job
This post is offered on a permanent basis either full time or part time, working 40 hours or 24 hours hours per week across Monday - Sunday. The base location is Crawley, but there may be a requirement to travel across the 14 shop locations throughout Surrey and Sussex, therefore a Full UK Driving Licence or the ability to access public transport to travel across our trading locations is required.

Job description Job responsibilities
Supported by our Shop Managers, your key responsibilities will include carrying out day to day activities relating to all operational routines in our shops, including compliance with statutory regulations relating to health & safety, hygiene, trading standards, and security of the retail premises.
This hands-on role requires a commitment to high standards and volunteer support. You will have previous experience of working in a customer service environment and have a flexible, enthusiastic approach. Previous retail experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.
Retail Operations Assistants will:
Ensure all procedures are followed in accordance with instructions issued by the Shop Manager Fully support the commercial activities within the shop to deliver sales and profits above budget Oversee the day-to-day operation of the shop, which will include supervision of the volunteers, pricing of stock and record keeping Will ensure all goods offered for sale conform to health and safety and trading standards requirements and reflect the interests of St Catherine's Hospice
Person Specification
Experience Essential
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate both in person and by telephone, effectively at all levels Proficient numeracy skills Excellent organisational skills Experience of working in a customer care environment (For a full job description, please visit our website)

Qualifications Essential
Good level of literacy and numeracy Full driving licence or the ability to be able to access public transport to travel across our trading locations
